Snow News

Good Morning to all readers,

The snow last night and this morning has left the roads hazardous to say the least particularly near school. To be honest, we are on the outer edge of what I think is safe so school will be open but optional today.

If the forecast is right, the snow should fizzle out and the roads should be safer this afternoon so if families want to err on the side of cauton and not come today, I am happy with that.

Those that can make it (together with hardy staff) we will deal with as best we can.

N-Compass at the Young Entrepreneur's Market

N-Compass, the student company at St Neot's was invited to go to London and sell the handmade scarves they have imported from their partner school in Dubai. The day was a great success, with the company sellign lots of scarves and experiencing a real market. They even made the news on the Achiever's International website.

The Art Galleries page has been updated to include recent masterpieces by years 3, 5, and 6. Excellent work!

Movember

During Movember (the month formerly known as November) several members of staff are growing moustaches. We are doing this to raise awareness of men's health issues and want to be proactive in the fight against prostate cancer. You can visit our Mo Blog here: www.mobros.blogspot.com

English Entertainment Evenings

Well done to the English teachers and the pupils of Years 6 and 8 for their Entertainments this week; it's always good to view the bedrock of drama in the school especially in the less formal setting of these evenings. The set piece events whilst super to see also tend to be more nerve wracking because of their necessary formality and it's good to see less confident children taking part in a smaller forum. Thank you to everybody anyway and again my thanks to FSNS for providing nightly refreshments also.

The Illustrator Day

The illustrator Mike Sporr inspired the children with his wonderful illustrations. We had a great day. You can see more pictures HERE

Leadership Day

Year 8s took part in a fantastic leadership day! They enjoyed many fun activities and learnt a whole load about team work!

London Irish

St Neots Prep made their return to the London-Irish grounds after their last visit in March. It was a very successful day for both the families and the Irish team. The children formed the Guard of Honour and did us proud as they waved the team onto the pitch. There were more than 150 people who attended this match from St Neots, 72 of which were children. This was a fine effort and a day enjoyed by all.
